Have you ever known a summer like this one for poppies? 

These photos were taken in a field not far from Bristol moments before the sun set behind the trees. As the sun hit the hillside the colours were so intense it looked like the poppies had burst into flames. 

In a digital world of highly manipulated images it can be easy to forget that the real world regularly puts on such spectacular shows, no filters required!
